QA and OPEX Manager

About The Position

The QA and OPEX manager will play a pivotal leadership role in driving the company’s Quality Assurance (QA) strategy and Operational Excellence (OPEX) initiatives. Reporting directly to the COO, this role is primarily focused on establishing and leading the company’s QA vision, ensuring the delivery of high-quality electronic-based products, and fostering continuous improvement across processes and operations. This position requires a deep understanding of electronics manufacturing processes, products development and transfer to production processes, and quality management systems to meet and exceed customer expectations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance Leadership:

  • Build and lead the company’s long-term QA roadmap, setting clear objectives and milestones to enhance product quality and operational performance
  • Oversee quality management systems, and enhance QA processes across product lifecycle stages focusing on customer satisfaction and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage and develop a team of 3–5 QA, QC, and OPEX professionals.
  • Work cross-functionally to promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and other relevant quality standards, overseeing internal and external audits
  • Drive root cause analysis for customer complaints and RMA Failures, lead the company for corrective and preventive approach and culture to prevent recurrence and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and lead internal and external audits

 

Operational Excellence:

  • Support Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to optimize processes and reduce waste.
  • Facilitate Kaizen events to drive sustainable solutions.

 

 


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electronics, Quality Management, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Experience: 8–10 years in Quality Assurance, with a focus on electronic products, combining development and manufacturing; proven supplier quality management experience.
  • Management experience: At least 3 years of experience as a quality manager including managing few employees in a company that develops and manufactures electronic or electromechanical products
  • Certifications: ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification required; Lean/Six Sigma (Black Belt preferred) is a plus

Skills:

  • Strong communication skills and capabilities in English and Hebrew, both written and spoken
  •  Deep knowledge of electronics manufacturing (PCBA, assembly, testing).
  • Expertise in quality management systems and compliance standards.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and leadership skills.
  • Familiarity with the field of safety and environmental standards such as UL, CE, Functional Safety, ROHS, Conflict Mineral, etc.

Location:

  • Must work at least 4 days per week at Yokneam headquarters.
