NetworkBoost™ provides EtherCAT network cable failure detection and recovery to dramatically increase machine uptime. Leveraging a ring network topology, NetworkBoost™ indicates the exact failure location of a cable within an EtherCAT network and enables it to continue operating normally until the failed cable is replaced. The feature is especially beneficial for applications where drives are mounted on moving carriages, such as pick-place machines.
