As demand grew for tighter synchronization and lower jitter in advanced equipment, Presto Solution leaned on ACS for both solutions and expertise. The collaboration reached a milestone with a high precision FPD display OEM on a three-dimensional measurement system for Generation 8 display panels. The goal was clear. Achieve single digit nanometer jitter from a precision motion stage with a meters-long travel range and 20um pitch Sin-Cos encoders. Working in close partnership with ACS technical support, the Presto team optimized servo performance and demonstrated outstanding jitter and move and settle performance. A dynamic braking feature in the ACS solution was utilized and removed the need for mechanical brakes, reducing system cost. The system met the spec and set a new internal standard for what Presto Solution and ACS could do together.
